Mums win Ante Up award

**MAJOR NEWS – we have won an American Award!!**

We are beyond thrilled to announce St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums and Eureka Mums will be the recipient of Canvas’ ‘Ante Up’ Non-Profit of the Year Award.

Canvas Founder and CEO James Quigley has notified us we will receive the award on Thursday, 28 January, at the Australian Embassy in Washington DC – the home of Canvas!

Canvas, the global leader in mobile apps for businesses, began the Ante Up Program in 2012, to encourage Canvas employees to identify a non-profit they are passionate about and then to support that nonprofit with free Canvas services.

Canvas Founder and CEO James Quigley said “St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums and Eureka Mums possesses all of the attributes Canvas looks for in an Ante Up awards recipient; a leadership team passionate about making a difference in their community and the world, and an organisation willing to embrace technology and make it the lifeblood of their organisation.

“With Canvas subscribers now spanning 73 countries and using 100 different languages, the Ante Up program and St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums and Eureka Mums success, reaffirms that the opportunity to make a difference globally is boundless.”

The Canvas Ante Up Program impact has been immediate and far reaching, past recipients include an African Reserve combating animal poaching, a Washington DC-based Film Festival, and another Australian nonprofit.

Our CEO Jessica Macpherson said “Thanks to Canvas for selecting us as the winner of this year’s Ante Up Award winner! Whilst the award is amazing, we want to acknowledge the ongoing support Canvas has provided to our organisation over the past four years, with free lifetime use of the software. This has enabled a grass roots organisation, almost entirely volunteer-run to open two new branches and respond to needs of highly disadvantaged families across Victoria.”

Canvas has invited Jessica and Geelong Mums General Manager Kate Kent to travel to the US at their cost to attend the awards. A full itinerary is planned to maximise Jessie’s and Kate K’s time with the Canvas team. Following this will be a focus on strengthening relationships with baby product suppliers in the US, as well as generating publicity about the award.

THANK YOU to all of our volunteers and supporters that work so hard! Thanks to them we are the recipient of this year’s Canvas Ante Up Award!!
