Re-induction procedure for staff and volunteers returning - COVID - 19
Prior to attending the warehouse
- If you are in a high risk group for COVID-19, please consider whether you should be volunteering.
- No children allowed in the warehouse at any time.
- Do not attend the warehouse if you are feeling ill at all, or if you are suspected of having or are being tested for COVID-19.
- Report to the volunteer coordinator or manager if you are suspected of having or are being tested for COVID-19 if you have volunteered at the warehouse in the previous two weeks.
- Bring any PPE (personal protective equipment - other than rubber gloves) you wish to use whilst onsite.
- You must book in via email to attend a shift, volunteers not booked in will be asked to leave the warehouse immediately.
- You can only stay for the shift period you have booked in for. You cannot stay longer.
Attending the warehouse
- Social distancing must be adhered to at all times - 1.5 metres between people as a minimum.
- Please follow signage in all offices, kitchen and warehouse areas as to how many people are allowed in that area at a time.
- One person per table throughout warehouse areas.
- No food is to be shared.
- If you bring in goods donations, these must be quarantined for 72 hours before rehoming. Please see a staff member when you arrive for where to put these items
- Excellent hygiene practices are to be observed at all times. Handwash/sanitise regularly whilst on site.
While onsite
- Use hand sanitiser before and after signing in
- Sign in to Envoy (ipad) with your full name and answer all of the questions. Call a manager immediately if you answer yes to any question
- Attend morning or afternoon briefing (dependent on shift booked)
- Wipe down your work area with disinfectant wipes provided before you leave
- Gloves are available if required. We do not have masks available on site, but you are welcome to wear your own.
- Excellent hygiene practices are to be observed at all times. Handwash/sanitise regularly whilst on site.
