Help Maternity hospitals provide families in crisis with a safe start.
The St Kilda Mums Safe Start Project meets the need of families who have received no prenatal support before the birth of their baby. The project provides emergency material aid to maternity hospital social workers that they can provide to families in crisis.
This Project currently supports social workers at the The Royal Women’s Hospital, Sandringham Hospital, The Northern Hospital Epping, The Royal Children's Hospital, Werribee Mercy Hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women, and Sunshine Hospital, Angliss Hospital and Box Hill Hospital.
This project allows us to supply emergency nursery essentials in time of crisis, including portable cots, prams, clothing, linen, labour bags and other critical items.
This project has been made possible with the generous support of Hire for Baby, The Dyson Bequest, The Sentinel Foundation, The Shulu Foundation, The Bruce McMullin Foundation, the 5Point Foundation and the Naphtali Family Foundation.
You can help ensure the continuity and expansion of this project to other maternity hospitals in Victoria. If you would like to meet with our CEO for a tour of our HQ and to learn more about this project please email us. Thank you!
