St Kilda Mums focuses on the essential needs of babies and children.

If we can't rehome something you have to donate, we recommend the following: 

Asylum Seeker Resource Centre - distributes food, groceries and gift cards to asylum seeker families.

BK 2 Basics - a free community food pantry of fruit, vegies, and non perishables. 

Bicycles can be donated to Dr CrankysWeCycle, Good Cycles, Back 2 Bikes

Caroline Chisholm Society - accepts maternity clothes and other items.

Donate Direct - a not-for-profit charity that helps people donate their quality used items to disadvantaged individuals.

Ebay - list at 99 cents to find a new home for stuff you no longer need. You are always welcome to donate the proceeds of your sale to us! 

EERN - Accepts donations of household essentials, white goods and furniture in the Cities of Whitehorse, Manningham, Maroondah, Knox, Monash and Boroondara.

Fitted for Work - Assists women experiencing disadvantage to get and keep work by providing free interview appropriate clothing, as well as mentoring and transition to work programs.

Foodbank - collects surplus food from across Victoria, weigh and sort it into orders, then distribute it to a network of over 900 community partners to feed hungry Victorians.

Givit - a not-for-profit connecting those who have with those who need, in a private and safe way. You can list items you have to donate and can be matched with a charity who will pass them onto recipients. 

Gumtree - have a great simple app for smart phone that allows you to take a snapshot and list for free very quickly.

Highlands Foundation - underpants, cloth nappies, pilchers, soap, towels, face cloths, woollen items, etc. for birth survival kits for the Highlands of Papua New Guinea.

Op shops - most op shops accept furniture and the large charities have a collection service. 

Support the Girls - provide women with preloved bras and new underwear

Team Sports 4 All - help disadvantaged families participate in sport and accept donations of sports apparel including footy boots.

Wear for Success - helps disadvantaged men and women to re-enter the workforce and will accept donations of men’s and women’s business attire.

West Welcome Wagon - provides material aid (good quality donated items) directly to asylum seekers in Melbourne’s West e.g furniture, bedding, clothing, children’s toys, appliances and kitchenware. 

St Kilda Gatehouse - You can help the Greeves St. Sewing Project by donating quality natural cotton fabrics and haberdashery such as zips and buttons. These donations can be made at the Greeves St. op-shop at 12 Belford Street, St Kilda: 11am-5.30pm Tuesday to Fridays, and 12-4pm on weekends.
